Distance estimates for NCG 4559 range from about 29 million light-years to 51 million light-years, averaging about 29 million light-years. This image was taken over three nights, March 27, 28 and 29, 2014. It’s an 8 hour total exposure. The galaxy is small in my field of view but if you click on the image you can magnify it. You can also see faint spiral arms which will become more obvious as I add more exposures to this photo.
