This image of the moon was taken September 18, 2008 at the end of a long deep sky imaging session. It is the first time I have taken a picture of the moon using the ultra wide field STL11000 camera, so the image scale is small. You can click on the picture to get it at full scale. The bright crater with the streaks coming out of it near the bottom is Tycho. It's 85 km in diameter and about 4 km deep.
