This phenomenon occurs when “some light from the sun passes through Earth’s atmosphere and is bent toward the moon” during the totality portion of a lunar eclipse, turning the moon red- or copper-colored. This is a series of photos taken on a Sony A7III Mirrorless camera with a 300 mm lens. There were on and off clouds in the sky, so I tried to grab my images when the sky cleared up. I wrote a piece on capturing the eclipse for Fstoppers Magazine.
