NGC 281 is a star forming region in the constellation of Cassiopeia and part of the Perseus Spiral Arm. It includes the open cluster IC 1590, the multiple star HD 5005, and several Bok globules. Colloquially, NGC 281 is also known as the Pacman Nebula for its resemblance to the video game character. This image was taken November 16-17 and consists of 3 hours of h-alpha data and 90 minutes of color data. All the images were taken with a bright moon, which is not optimal for color work, so I'll get back to this and grab color data on a dark night.
