NGC-2237 Rosette Nebula

rosettereproc

This is an area of intense star formation. This nebula is located in the constellation of Monoceros. This object is 5500 light years away. If you could see it with the naked eye it would be about the size of the full moon. This image was taken the night of December 16, 2006. I reprocessed it on January 18, 2012.
