NGC7000-The North American Nebula

ngc7000

This is the North American Nebula, so names because it roughly looks like a map of Canada, Mexico and the United States. It is located in the constellation of Cygnus, high in the summer skies. To the right is the Pelican Nebula, because it looks like a Pelican seen from the side. Exposure times are 70 minutes with a hydrogen-alpha filter and 90 minutes with RGB filters.
