IC2177-The Seagull Nebula


A combination Emission and reflection nebula that is 1800 light years away. This exposure, taken over two night in February, 2007 includes 120 minutes of exposure through a hydrogen-alpha filter and 1 hour with RGB filters. The nebula is located in the constellation of Monoceros, not far from Orion.
