Narrowband Images - New

These images have all been taken through narrowband filters. The advantage is they almost completely eliminate light pollution, and each filter highlights a particular gas. The filters are ‘tuned’ to recognize hydrogen (Ha), sulfer (SII) and oxygen (OIII). The Hubble Space Telescope uses similar filters for its nebula photos, and I’ve used the same color assignments the HST uses for most of its images.
