This is a narrowband bi-color image of VDB93 in the constellation of Monoceros. It represents the ‘head’ of the larger Swan Nebula, IC2177. In an earlier widefield image I took back in 2007 you can see the ‘head’ on the Swan near the top of the nebula. This is 6 hours of exposure over two nights, March 16, 17 and 19, 2016. I will add to the image as time and weather permits to reduce the noise and bring out more of the nebulosity. Taken with my Hyperion Astrograph, under the control of CCDAutopilot, with an SBIG STF8300m camera.
